A little about me…

I’m Kat (58) and I live in a small country town in South Australia, I’ve been working with textiles since I learnt to spin, weave and dye at the age of 18. I’ve an avid (more like obsessed) hand stitcher, which I’ve been doing for about the same time. Cross stitch, embroideries for making quilts (yes I quilt too), English Paper Piecing and Sashiko (which I only learnt about around 10 years ago.)  I knit and crochet also, which is mostly for KOGO (Knit One, Give One).

Making Memory Quilts and Memory Bears from clients clothing is a great way to cherish what those items mean, preserving them into a beautiful keepsake .

Working with textiles is my therapy and I am most happy when I’m crafting.

I’m a homebody at heart and really do enjoy my own company. My days are spent making something, dreaming up something or frogging something.

I love to teach and share my knowledge, so feel free to ask me any questions and if I can help, I certainly will.
